These programs offer individual and group counseling to men and women, 18 years of age and older. The focus of the treatment is to assist individuals in making the changes necessary to achieve and sustain recovery from alcohol and other substances. Each client participates in identifying personal treatment goals to meet their unique needs. Treatment recommendations can include individual and/or group therapy.The After Care Program is a service that is offered to the client upon completion of a residential program. It focuses on solidifying the gains made in residential treatment with the emphasis on relapse prevention.

The men's residential program is designed to address the individualized needs of men seeking substance abuse treatment during their stay at NOVA. Individuals in this program stay on the grounds of NOVA for an average length of 28 days. This program encourages clients to look at their lives honestly and help them explore their emotional, social, and life issues. By their exploration of major life areas they are encouraged to make healthy choices and make positive changes. Our program offers a minimum of 30 hours of weekly programming including individual and group therapy, trauma informed care services, anger management, effective communication, healthy boundaries and relapse prevention. The individual is involved in the development of their treatment plan with the counselor, that will identify the specific needs for him. Additionally the men are engaged in sober social activities as well as are encouraged to engage in 12 step programing. Our program assist clients in the development of an effective community support network that facilitates the individual's re-introduction into the community. Family education and visitation is facilitated.

The women's treatment residential program provides a secure and healthy environment where the individual, including pregnant and post-partum women, can freely address their substance abuse issues. The women stay on the grounds of NOVA for an average length of 28 days. The program is here to help motivate and support the women in the process of self-discovery and encourage needed changes to promote self-efficacy. Our program offers a minimum of 30 hours of weekly programming including individual and group counseling sessions that will also include trauma informed care services. The woman will participate in groups addressing coping skills that would include parenting skills, healthy relationships, anger management and relapse prevention. The individual is involved in the development of their treatment plan with their counselor, that will identify the specific needs for her. Additionally the women are engaged in sober social activities as well as are encouraged to engage in 12 step programing. Our program assist clients in the development of an effective community support network that facilitates the client's re-introduction into the community. Family education and visitation is facilitated.
