Douglas Place has long been a fixture in the Greater Grand Forks region for both housing and treatment services. In 2014, Meridian Behavioral Health acquired Douglas Place, supporting the stabilization of services like these for the residents of northern Minnesota. Today, Douglas Place houses a Women's high intensity residential treatment program within the Meridian Behavioral Health continuum of care. Located in a remote and peaceful area of rural northern Minnesota, Douglas Place has developed a treatment community where Women can grow in their understanding and practice of recovery through strong clinical guidance and whole-person support. Adult Women admitted into our program attend a full-time schedule of group therapy and individual sessions facilitated by a diverse team of licensed staff. Our program is dedicated to utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices to address individuals' Chemical Dependency and Co-occurring Mental Health concerns. Treatment plans are developed to address the unique needs of each person in our care, helping to create a solid foundation from which they can build upon in their new life of recovery.
